Drive the installation scope in our global tenders and lead installation tendering processes

As our Installation Proposal Manager, you will step into this critical role during maternity leave. You will be an integral part of our tender team, shaping the installation aspect of our offers. Take the reins for assigned projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to create compelling proposals. Develop optimal execution methodologies and craft installation proposals that align with our customers’ needs, especially for international projects with high order values, and mostly offshore windfarm connections. Identify and address potential risks, whilst prioritizing safety, quality, and efficiency. Work closely with colleagues across departments to deliver outstanding results. As our installation department grows, your temporary role could evolve into a permanent position.

 Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Crafting compelling proposals, negotiating contracts, and ensuring a seamless handover to the project installation team
  • Developing clear, concise documentation for clients and describing scope, timelines, and budgets with precision
  • Presenting innovative installation solutions to clients and driving negotiations with determination and ambition
  • Collaborating with internal teams (engineers, legal, procurement) and external partners (subcontractors, clients)
  • Identifying, evaluating, and negotiating with installation subcontractors

As part of an international team placed over different locations, this role allows you to work from one of NKT’s European offices in The Netherlands, Sweden or UK with some remote working. It will require some travelling, approximately 10-20 days/year, mainly within Northern Europe.

To be successful in your role, you have a communicative and driven personality. You thrive when collaborating with your team members and other internal departments to optimize the technical and commercial solution to our customers. Equally important is your business-oriented mindset, as well as your ability to lead negotiations with subcontractors and understand contractual information, in cooperation with your procurement colleagues. 

Additionally, your CV includes:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within a technical field, e.g. mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, civil engineering, or similar
  • Good knowledge in the MS Office package including planning in MS Project
  • A previous commercial position within sales or procurement, a similar position within the offshore industry or civil works is a plus but not a must
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
