Senior Accounting Specialist

NKT, a leading cable producer with Headquarters in Denmark, is seeking for Senior Accounting Specialist who is eager to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a growing global team. Joining HQ in Kaunas with ~120 colleagues across all functions in house you will open yourself unlimited future career opportunities in corporate international finance.

What can you expect from the position?

The role requires attention to detail, accounting skills and ability to work independently and also as a part of the team. You will be processing and booking incoming invoices, running payments, participating in period-close procedures for Accounts Payable and working closely with Team Lead on specific projects and continuous improvement activities. You can also expect to handle inquiries from internal customers and outsourcing partners or authorities. Other tasks will be:

• Supporting audit activities, prepare data according to the request from auditors.
• Deliver service in line with agreed controls, policies and procedures.
• Train and educate new and junior team members.
• Help junior team members to perform according to standards.
• Pro-actively solve or escalate unforeseen issues and exceptions.
• Identify opportunities and run process improvement initiatives to achieve ever greater accuracy, financial control, and efficiency.
• Perform ad hoc tasks that require accounting skills.
• Serve as a deputy team leader.

What do we expect from the candidate?

The candidate should have Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related discipline, higher commercial certificate or similar and 3-5 years of experience in accounting, accounts payables or receivables from a Shared Services organization or a major company is preferred. International experience and knowledge of SAP or similar ERP system is preferable. On top of this, we expect you to have:

• Good command of Microsoft Office tools and MS Excel in particular.
• Good understanding of internal controls & risk management practices.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Fluent written and oral English.

Salary range for this position is from 2300 Eur to 2800 Eur Gross.
