Support the business with in sustainability reporting 

As a Sustainability Controller at NKT you will assume an active role to coordinate the Sustainability department efforts to gather, access and report sustainability data according to the international standards and legislations (e.g., the EU’s directive on corporate sustainability reporting (CSRD) and the EU-taxonomy). 

Your task goes beyond only reporting and compliance, it is also to ensure that NKT stakeholders continuously have access to credible sustainability data and to assist development of the company. 
This position is located in Karlskrona, and you will report to the Sustainability Manager for High Voltage Cable Solutions Karlskrona. You will work closely with an agile team of environmental and sustainability specialists including controllers from our Group Financial Compliance team.

Your main tasks will be:

  • Develop the data collection process and management of sustainability data incl. coordination, gathering, analyze, evaluate and report of data from internal and external stakeholders from both our permanent offices and temporary sites associated with our projects. 
  • Work closely with colleagues in other functions to secure timely alignment with changing reporting regulations, including the EU Taxonomy Directive and CSRD. 
  • Support the overall business line in identifying and implementing improvement tasks within sustainability reporting. 
  • Develop the communication with internal and external data providers and develop an internal controls set-up and quality assurance for the reported data. 
  • Oversee and continuously improve our internal sustainability reporting quality. This task includes training of our data contributors on the reporting requirements. 

Analytical and structured controller

In order to thrive in this position, we believe you have: 

  • A B.Sc. degree in accounting, finance, sustainability, or a related field. 
  • Experience of reporting according to relevant standards and regulatory frameworks. 
  • Strong analytical skills to gather, analyze, and data management. 
  • Full proficient in written and spoken English. Swedish will be a merit. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly in MS Excel. It is a merit if you have experience of MS Power BI or other visualization tools. 

To excel in this role, you should appreciate routines and has a creative yet structured side. 

You notice details and like to organize your own tasks independently and are a person with good communication skills towards external stakeholders and your team at NKT.
