Proposal Manager

Are you looking to join a diverse team, in developing proposal for the large and complex projects aiming to connect a greener world? Here is an opportunity as Proposal Manager at our Global Competency Centre in Chennai.

What does your day to day work look like?

We are in search of a colleague who will co-ordinate and produce the proposal (RFI, PPQ, ITT, RFP etc.) response whilst assembling a proposal/tender team cross-functional, that has the skills to prepare and submit a winning proposal.

The Proposal manager will be responsible for introduction and implementation of all necessary proposal/tender procedures and governance with proven ability in planning, producing, and delivering compliant proposals within a complex business environment.

You will be experienced in scheduling and running proposal kick-off meetings, leading storyboarding sessions, facilitating key review meetings / final document review, co-ordinating proposal governance / sign off, document production, and delivery of the completed proposal.

Your Primary Task Involves:

• Holds responsible to develop the proposal / tender plan / timeline / orga and provides a summary of the enquiry.
• Should organizes and holds the bid kick-off meeting, presents overall tender and allocates tasks to respective shareholders.
• Identifies pre-bid agreements and to be arranged with third parties or clients.
• Takes leading support role in assessing Contract requirements and conditions and assists in bid vendors’ list definition and assures processes put in place.
• Will be responsible to maintain the interfaces with Partners and Client.
• Should actively participates execution of weekly team meetings and tender workshops - strategy, risk, QHSE,…- acc. to process governance.
• Supports the overall cost calculation with Proposal/Tender Estimator and all relevant and responsible functional stakeholders.
• Supports evaluation of commercial requirements, e.g. payment milestones, bonds.
• Should endorses the project organization, overall project schedule, overall execution plan, overall resources plan supported by Operations and Project Management.
• Integrates proposal packages prepared by the individual Operating Companies and Proposal Partners (if any) and reconcile possible discrepancies;
• Prepares and manages Approval process to present overall tender and bid strategy, risks and opportunities to Management level according to company guidance and reaches out for approval of bid proposal;
• Responsible to submit the proposal to the Client on time and follows ongoing tender process.
• Should take part in negotiation, award process and runs handover meeting to Project Execution.

What we look for?

• 10+ years of experience in tendering and proposal management.
• Should be a graduate with Bachelor’s in engineering.
• This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work in a time-sensitive situation and to meeting deadlines.
