What can you expect from the position?

In this role, you will own the end-to-end financial process within your assigned areas, driving the financial performance management agenda. Acting as a finance business partner, you will provide insightful and results-driven analysis and observations. You will also implement and maintain unified financial reporting and controlling for designated project-related operations. Ensuring that all role-related activities are completed on time, accurately, and with sufficient backup documentation is crucial. Additionally, you will actively participate in process changes, improvements, and efficiency activities.

  • Ensure accurate actual data are reflected in ERP for month/quarter/year and Projects Lifetime. Maintain accurate and insightful reporting in timely manner.

  • Data gathering to support budget/forecast process: template preparation,  analysis and reporting.

  • Reporting of key metrics, costs, KPIs revenue and profitability.

  • Pro-actively solve or escalate issues.

  • Be the first PoC for Finance teams and business stakeholders in terms of reporting, analysis and provide the right guidance for the designated Projects.

  • Build and maintain close relationship with internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Support decision making by providing analysis to the management, Projects’ team and other stakeholders.

  • Define and drive financial performance management agenda, increase standardization of finance procedures. Challenge and follow-up expenses when needed.

  • Identify opportunities, drive improvements and initiatives to deliver better control, efficiency, quality and accurate reporting & analysis, contribute to process changes.

  • Manage risk exposure in Projects by clearly communicating internally regarding risks, FX changes and other potential exposures.

  • Deliver communication and analyses with transparency and accuracy.

  • Be proactive and escalate any potential concerns regarding Projects’ finances.

  • Execute other position related tasks delegated by line manager/ dotted line manager.

What do we expect from the candidate?

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related discipline, higher commercial certificate or similar.

  • 4+ years of experience in Finance, Controlling or FP&A; experience in Project controlling is an advantage.

  • Ability to work to a tight schedule.

  • Business mindset, being able to understand the drivers within the business, daring to question assumptions, skilled in identifying cost saving/profitability improvement opportunities.

  • Experienced in working independently with limited support and/or guidance, owning processes, ability to effectively understand and set requirements.

  • Self-driven, having keen desire to learn, develop and be challenged, driving improvement of processes.

  • Strong communication skills, ability to act as sounding board for stakeholders, ability to handle various groups of stakeholders, supporting their decisions with financial insights.

  • High focus on co-operation throughout business, availability to support in different areas and various assignments.

  • Advanced level of MS Excel, MS Power Point and other MS Office skills.

  • Experience working with SAP (or any other major ERP) and Business Intelligence tools is preferred.

  • Fluent written and spoken English.

Salary range for this position is from 3300 Eur to 4600 Eur brutto.
