Project Installation Manager

Take lead in the installation of our customer projects

Do you want to work directly in our core business with the installation of our delivery projects? If you have experience from project management and are keen on an opportunity to utilize this competence, we have the right job for you. As part of the Installation department you will be working in a global and dynamic environment leading the installation of our customer projects.

Drive and lead the installation scope

As Project Installation Manager you will lead the installation part of our projects, working with safety, quality, time and budget together with the installation project team. You will play a key role and be a part of the main project team reporting to the overall Project Manager.

You will be the one taking responsibility for and coordinating all activities needed to deliver the installation package in the contract from start up, planning and preparation to execution and closure phase. The responsibility that our installation operations are conducted in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and NKT HSE procedures is another key part of the role.

Typically the installation projects involves some subcontractors, hence managing these successfully is crucial.

Besides the above your responsibilities will also include:

• Ensure that the project follows execution best practices and NKT policies
• Capture, analyze and share lessons learned throughout the project
• Know the contract, support claims and procurement management
• Stakeholder relations

You will be a part of our highly skilled Installation Team with placement in Karlskrona, Malmö, Redcar or Rotterdam. Some travelling to subcontractors, installation sites and customer visits is included in the role.

Communicative, experienced project manager with a self-going and driven attitude

Your strong communication skills allow you to effectively communicate with all internal and external stakeholders as well as building and maintaining strong relationships. In order to succeed you are a collaborative team player who is driven, self-going and service minded with a high technical interest, excellent negotiation skills and high sense of responsibility.

Also, to be successful in this role you have the ability to handle installation projects of different sizes, as well as assess, propose and implement solutions in the project.

Additionally, your CV includes:

• BSc degree preferably MSc within e.g. Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience
• Experience from project management in an international context
• Involvement in previous offshore cable installation projects
• Fluency in spoken and written English and Swedish. German, French or Spanish are beneficial.
• PM training and/or courses are meritorious
