Financial Controller

NKT Shared Service Centre for Accounting and Financial Control in Kaunas is looking for Financial Controller who is prepared to work in an engaged work environment as part of a growing global team. You will become part of the Group Reporting & Controlling team, which is part of Group Finance, an engaged and skilled department of approximately 14 professionals at HQ in Brøndby, Denmark, and additional 100+ at our shared service centre in Kaunas, Lithuania.

The position is located in Kaunas, Lithuania and reports to the Head of Group Reporting & Controlling located in Brøndby, Denmark.

What can you expect from the position?

This role will be key for ensuring financial reporting and controlling for the IT division globally is conducting adequately according to Group standards. This covers supporting the Group IT departments with financial analysis, challenge the IT spend, including both OPEX and CAPEX. Other tasks will be:

• Coordinate the creation and maintenance of the cost centers in SAP and TOM functions in OneStream for Group IT departments.
• Maintain and improve the charge model for Group IT spend from HQ entities to Business Lines, including creating and maintaining an overview of how Business Line can minimize cost for them.
• Oversee the forecast and budget processes for Group IT.
• Ensure correct costs for Group IT in the actual reporting on a monthly basis. This includes amongst other that correct accruals have been made, the capitalised costs are correct, prepayments are treated correctly, etc..
• Support Group IT department managers so they understand their cost.
• Participate in Group IT meetings and present financials where deemed relevant.
• Together with counterparts in IT define, develop and establish financial processes where there are white spots.
• Create IT spend reports for Group IT management templates.
• Send out spend reports to Group IT on a monthly basis and follow up on the OPEX and CAPEX.
• When creation of the above-mentioned missing Group IT templates and reports have been made, take over further tasks from the other team members in Group Reporting & Controlling.
• Solve or escalate unforeseen issues and escalations.
• Identify opportunities and run process improvement initiatives to ensure ever greater accuracy, financial control and efficiency.
• Perform ad hoc tasks and reporting as per Group needs.
• Assisting with a broad range of ad hoc finance or business projects.
• Handle all other position related tasks delegated by line manager.

What do we expect from the candidate:

The candidate should have Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related discipline, higher commercial certificate or similar and 2-3 years of relative experience in a similar position with IT controlling in an internationally well-reputed company. We hope you understand IFRS requirements and have experience working with SAP or similar ERP system. On top of this, we expect you to have:

• Experience with working independently, across an organization, overseeing processes and securing transparency.
• Able to communicate complex financial processes and figures in a clear, concise, and understandable manner;
• Experience in managing projects and processes across an organization.
• Proficient IT-skills, knowledge of Microsoft office tools is needed and knowledge of OneStream and Qlick is an advantage.
• Good understanding of internal controls & risk management practices.
• Solid analytical mindset with attention to details.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Ability to work to a tight schedule.
• Committed collaborator and able to build and maintain a good working relationship with colleagues.

Salary range for this position is from 3300 Eur to 4600 Eur brutto.
