GL Accountant

You will become part of the Applications business line General Ledger team, which is part of Group Finance. You will join an engaged and skilled team of 12 professionals, along with approximately 140 colleagues at our shared service center (SSC) in Kaunas, Lithuania, across all in-house functions.

What can you expect from the position:

The general ledger role involves internal reporting, ensuring financial accuracy in accordance with IFRS, and business partnering with other support functions and the Group Finance team.

You will work in an open, international and team-focused climate, where your personal career development and preparation for future attractive positions in the accounting/finance area will be supported by your direct manager and overall management team. You will play an important role in ensuring accounting quality and accuracy of data. Other tasks will be:

• Oversee and process G/L transactions including not limited to: accruals and provisions, IC transactions, reconciliations and Internal compliance procedures, BS & PL reclasses.
• Handle month-end, quarter-end and year-end activities based on processes in place.
• Ensure that all assigned tasks are done efficiently and with high quality and timely manner.
• Handle inquiries from internal customers as well as outsourcing partners in a timely and quality manner.
• Manage asset accounting process and handle the additions, disposals, depreciation, etc..
• Oversee and handle legal compliance processes, such as: statutory reporting, corporate tax return, audits, WHT and statistical reporting.

What do we expect from the candidate:

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Technical accounting background with in-depth knowledge of full cycle accounting process.
• +2 years of experience from a similar role within accounting/finance in an international company.  
• Analytical skills with attention to details.
• Fluent in English.
• Good at collaborating and can work alone when needed.
• Adaptability to a dynamic environment.
• Good organizational and delegation skills.

Salary range for this position is 2400 – 3000 Eur brutto.
