Manage innovation through strategic grant applications
Are you motivated by research and innovation in the green transition? Become a part of NKT as a Senior R&D Grant Financing Manager and contribute to enhancing our research and development initiatives. Here lies a wonderful opportunity to formulate a strategy for grant applications that will provide additional resources for our advanced initiatives. As part of the Group Stakeholder Relations function, you will collaborate closely with our Group Technology Function and Engineering Divisions. Do you want to be part of a team that develops energy policy strategies in Europe?


Oversee the grant application procedures

Your responsibility will be to:

  • Develop and lead the drafting of grant applications for our research, innovation, and development pipeline in close cooperation with our Group Technology Function and Engineering Divisions.
  • Build grant application consortia and work with external consultants for positive outcomes.
  • Develop a system to monitor and match company activities with upcoming grant programs at European level and in our main countries for R&D: Sweden, Germany, and Denmark.
  • Advise the organization on specific approaches to grants and project applications, supporting other co-financing activities for future investment projects.
  • Shape policy decisions and formulate national and regional grant programs, with a focus on Sweden, Denmark, and Germany.

You will report to VP Michael Suhr and be part of a team of four, with 20-30 days of travel annually to company sites in Sweden, Germany, and EU institutions. The position is based in Broendby.

Skilled and collaborative grant financing expert
We aim to identify a proficient and detail-driven person who is engaged with research, innovation, and promoting the green transition. You have shown the ability to manage your time effectively and work collaboratively, building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders such as grants administration, governments, EU, interest organizations, or political parties. You thrive in a concrete and factual manner and are meticulous in following through. You are a communicator, both in writing and orally.

You also have:

  • MSc, PhD, or postdoctoral experience in Science, MA in Economics, or another MA degree.
  • Experience from academia, consultancy, government, or a company working with R&D grant applications.
  • Solid and documented accomplishment in securing national and EU grant applications.
  • Thorough understanding of the workings of grant applications and possibly public co-finance negotiations.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Danish, Swedish, Portuguese, or German is an advantage.
