Meet the Offshore Team

As the world faces up to the urgent need for global climate action, Offshore Wind has a critical role to play. We understand the vital importance of this sector, as well as the unique demands that are placed on cable accessories in Offshore Wind farms. That’s why we have a dedicated team to guide, support, and advise our Offshore Wind customers. Meet Björn Spiers and Andy Baqone – our two Key Account Managers for Offshore Wind.

Björn is based at our manufacturing facility for medium-voltage cable accessories in Nordenham, Germany. It is here that all our 36 kV and 72 kV products for Offshore Wind applications are developed, engineered, tested and manufactured.

Besides being the primary contact for our existing customers, Björn also oversees the design and engineering of new products for the Offshore Wind market, as well as providing technical support for customers. He also runs project-specific training courses for Offshore Wind engineers.

Andy joined the team in the Autumn of 2020 and brings with him a wealth of experience and a diverse network from across the Offshore Wind industry. Andy is responsible for working with future Offshore Wind projects from an early stage and is therefore working mostly with customers new to the NKT Accessories product portfolio. Andy is based at our manufacturing facility for high-voltage products in Alingsås, Sweden.
